This happens incredibly frequently: a company posts (or updates) Terms of Use, the Internet freaks out about the teens suggesting the company is claiming an infinite license, the company clarifies the terms after days of bad press. The obvious solution is for the companies to fucking do the clarification AT THE TIME OF THE UPDATE so we can all skip the "freaking out" portion. Seriously, this is a known and predictable pattern, they have the power to nip it in the bud.
