Most people don't own shit, not even their own money. They're not incentivized to,
- 0% initial financing on some vehicles
- discounts for financing smartphones
- easier to pay many big contractors with financing options than figure out where you pull out 30k+ from like retirement or other funds etc.
there's very little reason NOT to borrow money in the current financial situation.
