I got into a big argument with a friend during Covid and it was so bad that it ended with cussing and insults. Fortunately, we both apologized and moved past it. We were arguing about the lockdowns and money printing. I said that the rate of money printing was insane and that we were going to pay for it in a terrible way in the future through inflation. He said I was insensitive and that this was necessary to save lives. He underestimated how much inflation it would actually create. Now he’s struggling with his business and complaining that this isn’t even an economy. Reality is a painful teacher.
