"summary",
"The Australian police reported that a majority of the suspects, aged between 13 and 20, used dating apps and social media to contact their victims, mostly men from the LGBTQ community. The victims were then subjected to physical and verbal abuse, with some cases involving armed robbery. The police identified several groups of criminals and began detaining the suspects in October. The authorities emphasized that such behavior will not be tolerated in their society and are working with dating app companies to provide users with options to report similar incidents."

In some cases, the attackers posted videos of their assaults on social media, the Victoria police department said, identifying several criminal groups. The suspects, mostly aged between 13 and 20, were accused of contacting their victims through dating apps or social media. When they met their victims, they assaulted, threatened, or robbed them, shouting homophobic slurs. It mainly happened on Grindr, but also on Scruff and Snapchat. The arrests of the 30 suspects began in October. The group includes three 13, 14, and 15-year-olds accused of armed robbery and violent disturbances. There is no room for this kind of behavior in our society. It will not be tolerated, said Victoria Police Superintendent Carolyn Deer in a statement. The police said they were working with dating app companies as part of the investigation to provide users with options to report such situations.\nhttps://jornaldebrasilia.com.br/noticias/mundo/dezenas-de-australianos-detidos-por-agressoes-relacionadas-a-aplicativos-de-encontros-lgbtq/",
