Thanks for the mention. The medium of film is the further development of art using a relatively new technology, the moving image. Film as a science describes styles from film noir to cinema vérité and their content in the overall social context and compares them with the art historical one. The mere fact that this science exists shows that film is as complex as our development as humans. Film is about the Stories of the past and out curiosity for the Future, is how we reflect our everyday lives and of course about our striving for immortality. And for all these aspects of the Stories of our existence, we can use artistic expression, be it the opulence or abstraction , to develop our own cinematic language. Film can and should utilize everything art has to offer and transform it into an extravagant experience. Perhaps Aliens would be able to project directly into the head of another alien via telepathy. But as soon as these aliens have imagination, I'm convinced they would make a film out of it.
