They make frozen food knives, which is basically just nicely made saws, but they work great for this.
I worked at a boutique knife dealer and sold several of these and other other knives to Will Steger's for his '89 Antarctic journey.
Probably saved his life too, he was going to buy white-handled knives because he thought they looked nice and I'm like "You better get red or green - black or white will disappear in the snow and he like 'clunked' his head and said "good idea" :).
