I really liked npub1f4dwlre9xrzayv7wvvrkrdh8eyegz85r9s6c52wx36jxedl9qzks8242zv (npub1f4d…42zv)’s take on the Apple/EU drama—that this is a pointless PR own goal that reflects petty and retributive draconian tendencies that are totally unnecessary for Apple to compete and win in the marketplace. On the flip side, I think the EU’s intervention is poorly tailored to deal with this (to a good convo with npub15r6dtvee2ygyj36fn8h66k3ugk4d4n83l6cgcd7h3w46rrr2nhqqrgdd9a (npub15r6…dd9a) on Bluesky)—they are the trying to do brain surgery when a good slap across the face would do the trick.
