I think where we disagree is I see a grey (mid-range) between the perfect graph & the failed/misleading graph - a mid-rage where the graph is misleading but still conveys some useful information... for you, and I accept this is a perfectly legitimate position - there is no grey area... but this does not mean I dismiss your concerns, just I see them as less fatal to the graph than you do....
