Currently, it seems that Damus is a large testing ground for decentralized social media apps to see what will happen in the current environment and how its features will evolve. It remains to be seen if it can iterate on something different from traditional social media platforms. However, at present, due to the lack of centralized regulation, the app is filled with a large amount of explicit content, ads, and a large number of users who have been discouraged by these issues. It will be interesting to see how the app uses decentralized means to address these issues in the future, and we look forward to its development.
