The problem isn’t the fraud and abuse. The problem is that buyers of government services (we, the State’s subjects) have no choice of provider.
Privatize everything. Then more efficient firms will outcompete lazier firms.
Consider the United Sates Postal Service. It has a monopoly on first class mail. We tax cattle have no choice, and consequently, service sucks.
Meanwhile parcel services are competitive (UPS, FedEx, DHL, etc.) and so their customer service, facilities, offerings are all substantially better.
