I have heard the sound of sobbing
through darkest part of night.
I have felt a heartbeat throbbing,
as its fire burns so bright.
When kinder words are failing,
when pain is in command
I will weep with you, in sorrow;
and offer you my hand.
The stars that shined, so brightly,
may seem to hide their light.
The sky, that is your comfort,
is lost before your sight.
I’ll sit with you in darkness,
I’ll hear your silent prayer;
and, though you may not hear it,
I’ll tell you how I care.
One day, you’ll see the moonlight
shining on the sea.
You’ll know that love is waiting
to dry your eyes of tears.
Once more, you’ll see the starfire
that penetrates your soul.
Until that day, I’ll hold you,
and try to make you whole.
