It seems there’s some integration (user handles being resolved as links) with Bluesky and Threads, but… I cannot reproduce it. Is this an instance thing, that some instances allow federation and others don’t?
Also, it doesn’t seem Bluesky does the same, i.e. Mastodon user names would not be linked.
Am I missing something, is this work in progress, did I run into some exceptions? Anything to read up on or follow?
