Because what it does is speed up the cycle in which electronic gadgets aren't even capable to execute the current versions of apps doing what was a menial task when the app and gadget were conceived, leading to either vulnerable systems (running the old app versions that still works on the gadget) or increasing the velocity of growth of electronic waste mountain.
