populism gets a bad rap in the US imagination because it's so often associated with bad faith jerks like JD Vance who cosplay as a populist with a Yale Law School JD and a wildly expensive home on one of Cincinnati's wealthiest cul de sacs. But the left is very overdue for a populist conversation about putting major restraints on the Supreme Court, whether by expansion, term limits, or other means. Too bad we should have started this process 40 years ago.
