Surgery performed and the port is still intact. Today is tech maintenance day at Plothole Labs. Hardware stuff is easy and fun, now I have to do is reinstall Kubuntu. I JUST got a dedicated thumb drive for my OS and glad of it! This is all extra challenging for me but also an adventure. I'll feel defeated, then, suddenly know what to do - it's weird.
