💥 "Air raid Pearl Harbor — This is no drill." On the bright Sunday morning of December 7th, 1941, the Japanese conducted a surprise aerial attack on the US Navy base at Pearl Harbor in Hawaii, during which 4 US battleships were sunk and 2,335 were killed. The attack led to the United States' formal entry into World War II the next day. Because the attack happened without warning or a declaration of war, President Franklin D.
