I wouldn't call you a "loopy new age atlantis nutbag" since I do believe you're discussing this in good faith. Plus, I know very little about this side of anthropology and mythology, so I'm open to learning more.
My perspective comes from a slightly deeper than surface knowledge of Orthodox Christian metaphysics.
Would you recommend "The Apocalypse of Yajnavalkya" as a reference to the new age atlantis stuff?
