I just thought of MUDs. Remember MUDs?
They were text and didn't have graphics like the SNES or PlayStation, but they were real time and multiplayer. It was amazing in the pre-WoW, pre-Everquest era. (The family PC couldn't run those 3D games anyway.)
I'm just reading on networking stuff and I thought of MUDs, is all.
