"content": "Special Relativity is a fascinating and in many cases counterintuitive topic. I just started these notes and what I have so far is mostly about time dilation.\n\nBasically time dilation tells us that a moving clock ticks slower that a clock at rest. How much slower? Well, this scaling factor is the famous Lorentz factor, shown below.\n\nIn any event, my (nascent) notes are here: https://davidmeyer.github.io/physics/special_relativity.pdf. \nThe LaTeX source is here: https://www.overleaf.com/read/xfghcdxjyzhg#675841. As always, questions/comments/corrections/* greatly appreciated.\n\nHappy Holidays everyone!\n\n#specialrelativity #einstein #physics #math #maths\n\nhttps://media.mathstodon.xyz/media_attachments/files/113/708/438/087/820/031/original/54a2eac0dc21a9a8.png\nhttps://media.mathstodon.xyz/media_attachments/files/113/708/439/343/506/503/original/8ab1ebe28453ac46.png",
