Interesting write up by npub1utv8fr27ca4hvjes9y9wt9uev2u6hnwsdjf7wf6dlwpycknjajtq7287lr (npub1utv…87lr) about Apple’s recent efforts to do a Proton-like thing for Macs, allowing people to play windows games on Apple machines in the same way Proton does for Linux. I wish I could be happy about this; it seems a cool move. But I’m reasonably confident that Valve’s Proton efforts are available to everyone and benefit Wine. I hope Apple’s do too and there’s not a special Apple Proton which doesn’t help the wider ecosystem. Fingers crossed.
