The only honest thing for the USCG to do is to ensure that they're repaid in triplicate with a divestiture of Oceangate's assets.
It's not like knowing what happened is going to be of any particular benefit. We know what happened. They cut corners and refused to pay anyone at every potential opportunity. If they hadn't done that, maybe an analysis would be sensible, even useful.
And I guess the RCMP's just involved because of the port of call? Seems odd for sure...
