I normally use Opera as my browser but it somehow got fucked up lately - I can't use it on YouTube and many other sites. I can't watch videos, can't scroll, etc.

Opening the site in a private window shows what the problem is - the site shows a modal pop-up dialog (usually - a cookie consent) that waits for me to click on one of the buttons. But in normal mode something hides the dialog without actually removing it - so something I don't see still waits me to click on something that's not there.

Clicking it in a private window is pointless, because the fact that I've clicked is stored in a cookie - and cookies are deleted when a private window is closed, so it is not remembered in normal mode.

At first I thought that it was caused by my ad blocked (uBlock Origin) or some other privacy-related extension (I Don't Care About Cookies, Disconnect, etc.) - but the problem persists even if I disable every single extension. Also, other browsers with pretty much the same extensions installed (Brave, Edge) don't have this problem.

Does anyone know what might be causing it? Currently I am forced to switch to Brave and it is quite similar but different in some places - just enough to be annoying. (BTW native ad blocking in Brave sucks; I had to install uBlock Origin there too.)
