I was one of "Thatcher's Children", the generation who left school to record unemployment, few opportunities, & who were thrown on the scrapheap to survive on their own.
I despise her for what she did. HOWEVER, decades later I assessed Thatcher's legacy & understood it better.
She identified the UK workplace & practices needed to change, but she went too far, too fast & never considered the lasting damage she caused
Even I eventually saw change was needed, but there was a better way
