Eh, I'd say the quality of the product is completely irrelevant to why Hasbro execs think they can get away with anything. That people keep buying from them, because it's the big brand name and only the OGL controversy even made a dent in the public consciousness (and even then only a fuzzy understanding of it), has a lot more to do with it.
