Everyone should have an innate fear of being alone. That is a survival instinct and you shouldn't try to rid yourself of it because it means you no longer can feel the deep joy and satisfaction of communion with other people.
It's like you've killed part of your soul and made yourself less human, and if you do it too often, you'll go literally insane. That's why solitary confinement is considered a form of torture. Humans are pack (or herd) animals, which is why we have most-successfully domesticated other pack animals, like dogs.
