If you want to monerize your API without tracking your users, you can run a mint and accept into ecssh from your own mint for your service. Users with a NIP-60 wallet get convert ecash from any mint to ecash from *your* mint to buy credits for your service via Lightning. Once their done with it, they can convert the remaining credits back to ecash on any other mint (if you allow for melts).

If you don't allow for melts, the ecash acts as a non-refundable credit, which is also an ok thing to do for services.
