Stallman was at one of the early bitcoin conferences. He is a true product of academia (and I meant that both for good and bad). For good, he operates holding on to principled ideas and is willing to work for years on his projects making his work freely available.
For bad, he suffers from Stockholm syndrome (like nearly all statist), he will with a straight face rail against the grave dangers and violations the state has done -- and then with a straight face -- suggest new laws and regulations the state can do to remedy the situation.
Its no surprise that Thaler is the mess it is, as its the collected thoughts of slaves.
