The number of US births in 2023 (provisional) was 3.59 million. (Below 3.6 for the first time since 1979.) The annual decline from the 2007 peak to 2019 was .92 per 1000 women (15-44) per year. After the pandemic bust-boom we are back on track for that trend. #demography
