ChasingWaterfalls on Nostr: What I don’t understand about the Portland incident is how women are defending WDI ...
What I don’t understand about the Portland incident is how women are defending WDI by saying that women who participated were required to go through some sort of zoom prep class for non-violence so they all KNEW the risks.
So let’s break this down.
If this is true, that all women had to go through some sort of training in order to attend, then it was not a public event, but rather a private, vetted event.
But
We know this isn’t true as it was advertised to others in order to get people to attend. It was INDEED a public event.
THEREFORE you had women who said “this looks interesting, I think I’ll attend” without knowing the full risks, without being trained in whatever zoom session was held.
So please, enough with the “everyone knew the risks” bullshit and the “they were trained in non violence” bullshit.
It doesn’t stand up if you look at it more closely.
