UPDATE - 730PM Receiving information that US285 North has been closed at Cottonwood bridge.
UPDATE - 640PM (US 285, milepost 138 water is over the highway. SEE PHOTOS)
I just came back in town via 70West & there is very high winds, very heavy rainfall, low visibility, water standing in the roadway; avoid traveling on 70 West if possible.
We have reports that the following Roads / Highways in Chaves County are impacted by this storm:
285 North (milepost 131) - water over the roadway.
285 North (milepost 137) - reports of an accident by hydroplaning.
