Swimming, diving, laughing.
Beautiful time.
But something felt… off.
I looked around and realized I was the only dad there with his kid.
Plenty of moms.
Not a single father.
And it made me think.
This used to be me.
Back in my fiat job in fiat land.
Back when I lived by someone else’s calendar and time.
I used to get 10 minutes in the morning with my daughter. Coffee in hand & a quick playdate before the grind.
Then off to work.
In the evening?
Just a knock on the home office door: “Good night, Papa.”
That was it.
5-6 days a week.
10 minutes a day.
That’s 50 minutes a week of lifetime with the most important human in my life.
When you zoom out… it’s brutal.
Don’t you think?
And don’t get me wrong fiat people called me successful because I made a shit ton of paper currency.
But I had no lifetime.
Didn’t own my mind.
Didn’t own my body.
Didn’t own my time.
Didn’t even own my currency.
So I was actually poor as fuck. And far away from “successful”.
Kids need their dads.
Not weekend dads.
Not permission-slip dads.
Not “later, sweetie” dads.
Since adopting to a Bitcoin standard
I own my time.
I own my body.
I own my mind.
I own my money.
And now?
Now I dive with her. I laugh with her. I live with her.
Bitcoin fixed my money.
Bitcoin also fixed my priorities.
And gave me back the most valuable asset we all have.
Lifetime.
I’ll never go back.
