There is one thing that makes me worry about #Bitcoin - bitcoiner art. Its too good.

Or rather, its too early to be this good. Look at the history and cycles of art. Minoan art was pretty good, contemporary with the hyper precise egyptian art, but then they collapsed and art in that part of the world became vague blobs for hundreds of years. Then the Greek city states arose and their competition with each other produced excellence and patronage, and almost continuously into the middle roman period, art was precise and focused and realistic... Surviving pagan sculptures are just incredible. And then civilization fell, and for over a thousand years, art was childish crap. Late roman to medieval art is dogshit. And then city states were again in competition, this time in Italy, and a cultural climate of excellence and patronage was reborn, and we got Da Vinci and Michaelangelo and various schools of painting styles and museums like the Uffizi, and this spilled into urban planning and Paris became the iconic city that every other city wished to be. And then we shifted back to crap.

But look at the time stretches involved. We're talking thousand year runs of both dogshit and excellence. We've only had two hundred years of dogshit in our modern era.

Bitcoiners know the reason for this, the real reason. Its the money. The thing that transmits value becomes corrupted, so the values become corrupted. Its the most obvious thing in the world to a bitcoiner. Like, duh... And BTW, water is wet. But we're the only ones. Other people don't see it, and they seem incapable of seeing it, if you've tried explaining it to them.

Modern art continues to crapify the world, with ever grander expressions of crapitude. What horrors await us if it takes the standard time to get through the epoch of crap? The standard crapoch, if you will, is around a thousand years. Does the crapoch have a will of its own? Will some cosmic force intervene to stop bitcoiners from ending the crapoch prematurely?
