That would imply that the most prevalent views on gender never talk about anything of substance, that to discuss gender in any way other than to affirm the existence of a wide variety of genders and to tie it into feeling safe and inclusive ... is taboo. And maybe such a taboo is present in the US. That's unfortunate because there are whole fields of science dedicated to this topic that are, what, gone now?
