There were a lot of not great things that happened today but my one positive, which I am no doubt going to catch a lot of flak for relating but so be it, is this: my ginger cat, who I love very much, sometimes chomps me for no reason and with no warning. Sometimes very hard. He may be lovey before and after but still the chomp in between. He went to bite today and on pure reflex I lifted his tail up as he did and he bit that instead. Maybe I should feel bad but I don't. It was liberating.
