"content": "Has there ever been a court case or judicial decision on the matter of the copyright status of PCB layouts? If not, I would still assign a copyright to your own work, even if its just a public domain license, to make sure those wanting to reproduce your work understand they are free to do so. I certainly would not accept a Law Stack Exchange answer that interprets statute, as that is a job for the courts.",
