Staying with positive has no assurance of you ending up life on a positive note. Considering there are too many variables which turn life dark and unfortunate.
But staying positive or being with positive influence means you reduce the friction. You reduce darkness, misfortune and possible problems of life.
This is one of the reason parents teach kids to stay away from bad influence in school, college and then rest of the life.
