There are some positives here in my simpleton mind.
1. Tether gets normie people used to apps/wallets.
2. It has a brand ( USD ) that many in the wider world ( outside of our bubble ) are more inclined to trust initially
3. Once in and comfortable they are already half way to using bitcoin.
4. Most importantly IMO, is that while USD is winning the global race for user base, we appear a lesser threat relegated to 'digital gold'
We don't need to take fiat head on. We just grow alongside it, waiting for when the need arises. ( And it will arise )
