His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God preserve him, issued Federal Decree No. (142) of 2024 regarding the formation of the Zayed Humanitarian Foundation Board of Trustees, chaired by His Highness Sheikh Dhahi bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Diwan for Development and Martyrs' Affairs, and President of the International Humanitarian Affairs Council. According to the decree, the Board of Trustees includes H.H. Sheikh Shakhbut bin Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of State, Sheikh Zayed bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, Director of the Founder's Office, Dr. Ahmed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Director of the Presidential Office for Strategic Affairs and Executive Office of Abu Dhabi, Sheikha Shamma bint Saeed Al Mazrouei, Minister of Community Development, member of the International Humanitarian Affairs Council, Rashid Saeed Al Zaabi, Advisor to the President of the State for Strategic Affairs, Sultan Mohamed Al Shamisi, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Development and International Organizations, member of the International Humanitarian Affairs Council, and Saif Rashid Al Zaabi, Advisor to the Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Diwan for Development and Martyrs' Affairs. In this context, His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Diwan, emphasized the importance of continuing the humanitarian, charitable, and developmental work of the State, and strengthening the institutional aspect in this field, in addition to encouraging a culture of humanitarian work in the country and the world. He also stressed the importance of the State's commitment to implementing and sustaining humanitarian work, and unlimited support from the President of the State for humanitarian initiatives and developmental programs to achieve the development of communities and the happiness of people, starting from the humanitarian values and noble principles established by the Founder, Sheikh Zayed, may God rest his soul, which aim to serve humanity as a whole. His Highness Sheikh Dhahi bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Diwan for Development and Martyrs' Affairs, President of the International Humanitarian Affairs Council, and President of the Zayed Humanitarian Foundation Board of Trustees, emphasized that the Foundation embodies the President's interest in preserving and sustaining the legacy of the Founder, Sheikh Zayed, may God rest his soul, in humanitarian work, and that the Foundation will continue to follow the Founder's steadfast approach and goal of assisting sister and friendly countries to achieve sustainable development and build cohesive communities. The Board of Trustees will work to ensure the sustainability of Sheikh Zayed's humanitarian and developmental legacy through global humanitarian initiatives and programs, in accordance with carefully planned strategies to achieve the maximum impact of the Foundation's programs and increase humanitarian aid and assistance to people around the world, and contribute to international developmental efforts. It is worth noting that the establishment of the Zayed Humanitarian Foundation, under the patronage of the President of the State, was decreed by Federal Decree No. (126) of 2024, and the Foundation is affiliated with the Presidential Diwan, enjoys full legal personality, and is responsible for overseeing a number of entities and institutions, and monitoring the achievement of their goals and exercising the powers entrusted to it, including the Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Humanitarian Foundation, the Emirates Foundation, the Mohamed bin Zayed International Conservation and Wildlife Fund, the Watan Investment Holding Company, the Clean Rivers Limited, the Global Polio Eradication Institute, the Zayed Sustainability Award, the Sheikh Khalifa Educational Award, the Sheikh Khalifa International Date Palm and Agricultural Innovation Award, and the Mohamed bin Zayed Award for the Best Teacher.
