Did you know that today's US Green Party was founded in the late 90s by gutting the network of Associated State Green Parties and decentralized Committees of Correspondence that had been the organizing structure of the US Greens prior to that? A big impetus for this was to shift focus away from trying to build local level politics in order to put more focus towards moonshot presidential campaigns.
