It’s probably influenced most modern filmmakers, at least those who appreciated the film’s insights into the creative impulses they presumably live to express. I agree about Waters. And having met him via a mutual friend back in another life, I can attest that his eccentricities (and tobacco addiction) are genuine. Also his awesomeness.
