Feeling cute, so a later #transfem #TimelineThursday? Why not?
I’ve been taking near-daily pics with the venerable Photo Booth app since January. Here’s the first in my roll, 4 weeks after starting HRT, and from now, about 33 weeks later.
Kind of weird, but back when I started I was thinking of this like gestation. Not to appropriate—I’m well and deeply aware that’s an unknowable experience to me—but there were parallels. Growing a person seems interminable at first, often with little outward change for many weeks. Then all of a sudden, new milestones appear, and things daily are beautiful and deeply uncomfortable, sometimes simultaneously. Sooner than you expect, that new person is here.
Anyway, to continue that strained analogy, I’m full-term now, haha
