This may apply in some areas, where I've not been.
It doesn't apply in Exeter, most of Devon at least, Cornwall, or England overall.
Scotland exports electricity, and would send more South in daylight if the wires at the border were thicker, but is a good source for night time electricity right down to here.
France has a lot of fission, and also can provide it at night, across the channel and within the EU.
We don't really do air conditioning - one room for 12 h per y!
