I completely agree. I'm omnivorous myself but sympathetic to vegetarian/vegan dietary choices and I've seen dozens of situations at work lunches or elsewhere with vegetarians/vegans being grilled about their choice or being told stuff like "but bacon tastes so good". I've never seen a pushy vegetarian or vegan in person (online, sure, but you can apple pick anything online).
