You're really stuck on the modern reality of capitalism. Under socialism, yes, the workers would own it. That's the key part of the economic transformation. Under the current capitalist system, sure, you could call it stealing, but the whole point of socialism is to change that. Any new business started under socialism would be formed under the presumption that ownership would be shared among workers.
