I'm convinced that the pyramids (that are all over the world, have much the same structures and placements, and poking further, much the same instruction manuals) are chemical processing plants to make fertilizer, as this was a covenant between the men who traded daughters for tech and the watchers who had enough knowledge to be able to offer processes of value to men to relieve the three part burden of God's curse on the world.
Plus, you gotta do something to feed your hybrid offspring that were hundreds of feet tall and ravenous...
