I think there's definitely a big gap to get over when it comes to ecash innovation and why it's important as far as public perception goes.
It is entirely ironic that a large portion of the StackerNews community always seems against it, yet:
- SN users fully trust a single custodian
- SN fully sees their balances and transactions
- SN can unilaterally and selectively shut down accounts and balances
- The amounts on there are small enough to not make sense to use on chain or self-custodial LN
Yet there's way too much "Why would I ever use a mint, I hate custodians" logic in any thread that brings it up. 🤦♂️
