Saw it last night; It's a gift to the world this film, not only for architects!
There is so much to say about this film; although some quick thoughts could be:
- Best if you either leave this world well cultivated and, or leaving behind riches worth an eternity of appreciation
- A PSA for else's searching the movie: I noticed some subtle yet important differences at the .srt files hanging around the web; it would be worthy to go directly to the original language and try a self translation.
- [Spoilers ahead] A standpoint I could get as an overall concept of the film is to show to the world the Russian stance in, and around the world itself, that is as per this film, that Russia tries to avoid conflicts between individuals but by doing so it actually looks like it's provoking them whilst really not; this is something that happens between people even of the same language, that is, to reach unfortunate crisis at levels of the very customs of communication such as gestures, tone of voice and words. To be more precise, the European character in this film goes from rivalry to reconciliation by recognizing *the Europe that is within Russia*; that idea could be a suggestion that for communication between unfamiliar individuals, to try find common grounds of vocabulary, —such as art and history in this case—, could be a good idea as for reaching peaceful terms of cohabitation without paying exorbitant costs. Finally, the idea of an Ark shouldn't be taken as an arrogant one, or even if so, it shouldn't be in no offensive way; It'd be for every person to think about his own ideal ark, even if themed differently, could even being one full of dinosaurs and wild plants. The idea of visiting arks and instantly gaining the ability to speak the ark's language is a lovely one.
