I lived with old junk when I was poor, but a modern washing machine or vacuum cleaner just cleans so much better that it doesn't make sense to own a 1990 model if you can afford a newer one, IMO.\n\nI don't find modern cookware much improved, but (if you're willing to pay), it doesn't seem like it's less durable either?",
