Structural external walls were done in the last post. ✅
Now to make the internal walls. 🚧
I had the thin sheets of wood cut previously for the internal walls (see older posts). Now I needed to make the frames for the two internal walls. I used a handsaw this time to cut the wood frames instead of a handheld jigsaw. This took much longer to do but I achieved a straighter cut.
I started sweating from all the cutting. 💦
Luckily, the proof of saw dust absorbed it all. 🪚
I made the frame of the square holed wall. Stapled the frame down and glued it to one sheet of wood. Used that square tool to make sure everything was nice and square.
I Fvcked up the frame lengths so I had to chuck in a smaller bit of wood and join it with the rest of the frame. Not an issue because this wall will not bear much weight/load and is strong enough like this.
Next I cut a circle shaped frame for the circle holed wall. Used a handheld jigsaw to do this. Easier to do than expected.
Circle holed frame completed. Stapled and glued to the sheet of wood. Added in RockWool insulation and sealed the unit shut with glue, staples and the other sheet of wood.
Both internal walls are now sealed shut (square holed wall and the circle holed wall.). ✅
Internal walls glued down to the main structure and the top sanded down so it is level with all the other walls. ✅ 😌
Very happy I made it this far considering I have 0 experience with any of this DIY Work. 🙏
