Back when I was... 16? I found a modern retelling of that. Where Joseph's girlfriend tells him she's pregnant and he's shocked and the retelling kind of goes through what he might have been thinking. Then it goes straight into a reading of the Gospel of Matthew. We read it the one week of Advent they gave to the youth group.
I thought it was really neat. It really humanized Joseph.
The adults were... not pleased.
